# MindStick KidsZone: Free, Safe & Ad-Free Learning Games for Kids

***KidsZone home page ·*** [***www.mindstick.com/kidszone***](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/)

Hand a phone to a five-year-old and open almost any "free" app for kids. Within a minute there's a pop-up, a flashing advert, or a bright button that quietly leads to a payment screen. Most of us have snatched the phone back at least once, half annoyed and half worried about what our child just tapped.

That feeling is the reason [KidsZone](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/) exists. It's a collection of learning games for young children, and it is free in the plain, old-fashioned sense of the word. There are no ads. There are no cookies. Your child's progress and settings are saved on your own phone or tablet, not on somebody's server.

Open the home page and you'll see what I mean. A purple owl called Hoot waves from the corner, a cheerful sun sits in the sky, and one big yellow button says **Let's Play!**. That's it. A small child can find their way in without help, and a parent can relax a little.

#### What's inside

KidsZone is organised into eight sections, and the top menu shows all of them with a simple icon each:

- [Little Learners](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/little-learners) for toddlers and preschoolers
- [Letters & Words](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/letters-words) for the alphabet, phonics and spelling
- [Numbers & Sums](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/numbers-sums) for counting, comparing and early sums
- [Our World](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/our-world) for birds, oceans, planets and more
- [School Skills](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/school-skills) for tables, place value and money
- [Think & Remember](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/think-remember) for puzzles and reasoning
- [हिन्दी](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/hindi) for Hindi letters
- [Create](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/groups/create) for painting, stories and music

On top of that there's a [Daily Challenge](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/daily) with five quick questions every day, and a star counter that quietly grows as your child plays.

#### Small details that matter

The settings button in the corner hides some thoughtful options. Words can be read aloud. Calm mode reduces movement for children who get overstimulated. Tap-instead-of-drag helps little fingers. And game words can be shown in English, Hindi, or both together. These are things a parent notices, and they were added on purpose.

#### Why I'm writing about it

Over the next few weeks I'll walk through each KidsZone section here on YourViews, one post at a time, with a screenshot of the actual game so you know exactly what your child will see. Some posts are for parents of toddlers, some for parents of Class 2 or Class 3 children, and a few are for anyone who simply likes a good puzzle.

One request as you read along: try each game yourself before handing it over. Five minutes is enough to see whether it suits your child's age and mood, and you'll be far better at helping when they get stuck.

If you can't wait, open [KidsZone](https://www.mindstick.com/kidszone/) on your phone tonight, sit your child next to you, and let them press that yellow button. Watch what they pick first. That will tell you more than any review I could write.
