On social media, it's amazing to be able to share what you love, and being able to connect with anyone at whatever time you want, whenever they are, maybe you have the patience to climbed in, in somebody else, maybe you are in America and somebody else from Japan does the same and you can connect with that person, maybe talk about it, share advice, [share the experience](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/35935/get-over-mount-rushmore-and-share-the-experience-here). \ I think it's great, I think it's amazing, I also believe that some people take it too far to the point that they don't do it, for example, post pictures of themselves because they love to do, they love how they look today. \ But they are looking for [validation](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12234/validation-using-data-annotation-using-entity-framework) from other people, to feel good about themselves. Those are the one I am interested in, those are the one I want to share things with, those are the one I eventually chat with are in my friend-list, why should I have somebody I am not interested in and I will never talk to. \ I [am trying](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/36834/which-two-programming-languages-should-i-master-in-if-i-am-trying-to-get-into-google-or-facebook) to understand why so many people are attracted to social media and obsessed with it. The first type is the type that looks for validation and whenever the get likes they feel good about themselves because they validated and they feel that emotion. ``` [ READ MORE :- Teenagers Are the One Who Are Most Affected by Social Media... ] ``` The fact is when you are validated by somebody else, it doesn't last long, so every day you will need more validation in order to feel good about yourself, but eventually, you will start losing the [perception](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/300933/what-is-perception-in-psychology) about yourself and eventually you become a slave to what other people think of you. \ You know no not everyone thinks that you are the best-looking [person in the world](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/31672/who-is-the-most-famous-person-in-the-world). Everyone thinks that you are a good person, somebody will think differently, Like some people that tell you that, you look good today, the next day they make feel something different because maybe e they had a bad day and now they project that into you and they think that you are not looking good today. Also, there are people looking to be stimulated looking for [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) word, they can say Oh there is a goal a war going on, Oh there is this happens in the world, Oh there is this, there is that, and they look, you know, you look at a news then there is another article right next to it and you click on it and you waste a lot of time click on one point than another, then another, then another.
