As well as, he cleaned the feet of five sanitation workers with his hands and addressed it with saying that, ’it would remain etched in his memory for the rest of his life’. He felicitates the Swacchta Karmacharis and the volunteers and marked them as a great inspiration for the country. It is very true if few people can keep clean the area after a gathering of about 22 crores of the public in a period of 40-45 days, then why can’t the countrymen can learn something from this. It commemorates Jesus Christ washing the feet of these people as an expression of his love for all. And teaches people, if your lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you should also wash another’s feet. Likewise, the [father of the nation](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/100575/who-is-known-as-the-father-of-the-nation-in-india) ‘Mahatama Gandhi’ use to do the same to pay his respect to people and don’t [discriminate](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/242/discrimination-don-t-judge-with-persons-attire) on the basis of caste, religion, or creed.
