Recently the issue has been highlighted at SRM [University](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/66/firing-in-allahabad-university-what-s-wrong-with-allahabad-security-system), Chennai, where a female student complained of [sexual assault](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/178/men-should-always-not-be-men) on her by the worker of Hostel Mess. **The [management’s](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/136/management-failure-led-cmp-student-on-roads-for-protest) reaction was very strange. Instead of confronting the culprit the Hostel Warden blamed them for wearing short clothes. Warden didn’t take the complaint seriously and stated that, change your dress and go to sleep.** Oh! Come on. Give me a break, did I heard it right. **The fault is of girl because she was wearing [short clothes](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/40/clothes-or-mindset-what-needs-to-be-changed) so, that anyone has the authority to misbehave with her. In school and college where everyone learns about equality, there only we are getting incidents of rape and sexual abuse. Is this what the countries future we are looking for? **In our country does the size of the dress will decide whether the girl deserves respect or not? Is it worth saying by the person who is at the management that her dress size is small?** After a long protest by the [students](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/75/government-schools-still-waiting-for-students), college authority filled an FIR, just to save their image. Does this behavior worth-it? If a girl is not safe in the [hostel premises](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/225/the-dusky-bliss-of-hostel-life) then how could we make a better India for them? If these types of incidents will continue increasing at this pace, then how a parent will allow her daughter to leave the city for further studies.
