He only accepted the gift when they agreed to take the price of it. After, that he send a man with the cheque amounting the price of the grinder. The owner of the company didn’t want to take the money and keep the cheque with him as a kind gesture from Dr. Kalam. After a month, they received a call from Kalam’s office inquiring about why didn’t he deposited the cheque else the grinder will be returned to them. They, they agreed to deposit the cheque but before that, the company owner scanned the cheque and keeps a framed copy of it. The very next day the owner gets a Thank you message from Dr. Kalam’s office for doing so. \ **He refused to sit on the chair reserved for him because it was bigger than others:** At IIT, [Varanasi](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/130/clean-ganga-promise-still-looks-imaginary) Dr. Kalam was invited at the Convocation Ceremony [as the Chief](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/62145/who-has-sworn-in-as-the-chief-minister-of-andhra-pradesh) Guest. The chairs were arranged on the stage and from all the chairs his reserved chair was bigger in size. So, when he noticed this he just refused to sit on that chair and politely asked the Vice-Chancellor to sit instead.
