The thing that we have missed much, that is least discussed among the talks of our ‘influencers’ is hunger. Why? The question arises that why there are all these expenses on road, sports, [transport](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/72238/india-s-first-rail-transport-university-will-be-established-at-which-city), [maintenance](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/333912/maintenance-made-simple-how-online-tools-enhance-property-management) of offices and residents of our leaders and “representatives” and the foreign tours when we are not able to [overcome](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12983/remedies-to-overcome-the-hdmi-connection-problems) hunger. We lose 29 of our countrymen, the 29 Indians who could have given a lot to the country if provided with the [right to life](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38045/describe-articles-20-22-relate-to-the-fundamental-right-to-life-and-personal-liberty), due to hunger. If there had been loss of 70 lives due to some crash, attack or any political accident, we would not have refrained from making much chaos which is not wrong but then are we much insensitive and silent when “hunger” everyday takes the lives of 7000 people. There strikes the lack of empathy in us. If it did not, it is trembling to know that someone is dying of hunger. The statement ‘dies of hunger’ is as horrid in itself as it signifies that someone who died of hunger was hungry for so long that he died but could not help himself with food. Food is the most basic of all the needs of humans and what good will all the accomplishments of this world mean even if a single man is helpless enough to be deprived of it. The very first step towards eradicating a flaw is to accept it. We must know that one third of the world’s hungry [population](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/33541/list-top-10-tiger-reserves-in-india-with-maximum-tiger-population) is in India and should do our best not to waste food.
