The Sun Temple of Konark in Odisha, built in the 13th century by King Narasimhadeva I, is designed as a colossal stone chariot.

Each of the 24 wheels functions as a sundial, telling time with remarkable accuracy. The wheels, with detailed spokes and carvings.

The temple is aligned eastward, allowing the first rays of the rising sun to illuminate the inner sanctum.
