JN 1 variant covid cases raised in India

As of December, 2023, 69 cases of JN.1 variant covid have been identified in India.

The new COVID-Nineteen cases have reached a seven-month high, but many are minor and have not resulted in a rise in hospitalisations.

Furthermore, the majority of these cases (21) were discovered in Goa and one in Kerala.

On December 23, the holiday season resulted in the highest number of new COVID-19 cases at 752, not solely due to the JN.1 variant.
