Why is Greenland not called Iceland?

Vikings settlers first inhabited Greenland in the late 10th century.

When they arrived in Greenland, they discovered a warmer and greener land.

So they chose a name for it "Grønland," which means "Greenland" in Old Norse.

Fast forward to today, it is colder and icier than it was when the Vikings first arrived.

At present, Greenland is well-known as a popular tourist destination around the world.
