It is firm, flexible, well-attached to the nail bed, and not too thick or too thin, allowing for a slight bend without breaking.

It grows at a consistent rate of approximately 1/10 of an inch per month.

White patches on nails are normal and harmless, although they can suggest damage or a lack of nutrients.

Clubbing, a condition where nails become thick and curved, can indicate underlying medical issues like lung or heart disease.
