Does lobster feel pain?

By MindStick

There is little scientific agreement on whether lobsters experience pain similarly to humans.

However, there is mounting evidence that they can feel pain.

One study shows lobsters who were electrically shocked will avoid the region in the future as they learn from painful events & change their behaviour.

In another study, lobsters boiled with an anaesthetic showed less distress than those boiled alive, suggesting it reduced their perception of pain.

Furthermore, research indicates lobsters may experience pain, but more research is needed to fully comprehend their perception and impact on it.
