Great Green Wall of India

By MindStick

The Great Green Wall of India proposes to build a 1,400-kilometer-long, 5-kilometer-wide buffer surrounding the Aravalli mountain range.

Furthermore, It includes areas of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi.

It is inspired by Africa's Great Green Wall, a continent-wide attempt to battle desertification.

Indian Great Green Wall project aims to restore land, improve water quality, enhance biodiversity & reduce Thar desert's expansion in northern India.

Local communities, government agencies & private sector organisations, aims to plant native trees & restore surface water bodies on degraded land.
