Kojagari Laxmi Puja, also known as Sharad Purnima or Bengali Laxmi Puja, is a Hindu festival celebrated on the full moon day in Ashwin.
It is important in West Bengal, Odisha, and Assam, and also observed in other regions of India.
Devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi, believed to bring wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, which take place on October 28, 2023.
It is night ritual where devotees clean and decorate their homes, set up an idol altar, offer prayers, and distribute prasad to family and friends.
The event also celebrated to mark the end of the monsoon season and the start of the harvest season.
