Starbucks, the world's most popular coffeehouse chain, is known for its high-quality coffee, handy locations, and welcoming atmosphere.

Starbucks was created in 1971 by Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker, who met while studying at the University of San Francisco.

Founders were inspired by Dutch immigrant Alfred Peet, who introduced high-quality, roasted-to-order coffee beans in Berkeley, California.

First Starbucks coffee shop created in 1987 in Seattle, expanded to over 100 US stores by 1992, opened its first international store in Japan in 1996.

Today, Starbucks with over 33,000 stores in 80 countries, has become a globally recognized brand, popularising coffee culture in the US and globally.
