What is Vedic Age?

The Vedic Age was a period in Indian history when Vedic literature, including the Vedas, was predominantly created on the northern Indian subcontinent

It is divided into two broad periods, covering 1500-500 BCE: the Early Vedic Period (1500-1000 BCE) and the Later Vedic Period (1000-500 BCE).

During this period, new social and political institutions emerged, including the caste system and the rise of large kingdoms.

It was a time of enormous innovation and intellectual ferment in India. It contributed much to religion, philosophy, literature, science, & technology

It has influenced Indian culture by emphasising dharma, artha, kama, and moksha, which continue to influence Indian daily life.
