Seahorse facts!

By MindStick

Seahorses have a one-of-a-kind reproductive system. The female seahorse puts her eggs in a brood pouch on the male seahorse's abdomen.

The male seahorse then fertilise the eggs and holds them in his pouch until they hatch.

The baby seahorses are born fully grown and able to swim out on their own.

Seahorses can be found in both tropical and temperate waters worldwide.

They are carnivores that primarily feed on small crustaceans such as brine shrimp and copepods, and can eat up to 3,000 shrimp every day.
