Bizzare Corpse flower

By Anjita D.

The corpse flower, also known as the titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum), is a rare plant that blooms for only a few days every 7-10 years.

It is the world's largest unbranched inflorescence, growing up to 10 feet tall and weighing over 150 pounds.

The corpse flower is native to the Sumatran jungles in Indonesia.

The corpse flower has no leaves or stalks and only produces one massive blossom.

Its terrible aroma attracts pollinators such as carrion beetles and flies. It smells like rotten meat and may be smelled from several feet away.
