The pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea) is the world's smallest monkey.
They are native to the South American rainforests.
They have a body length of 4.6 to 6 inches and a weight of only 3.5 ounces. They are no bigger than a guinea pig.
The majority of their time is spent in trees. They can leap up to 30 times their body length and are superb climbers and jumpers.
In the wild, pygmy marmosets live for about 15 to 20 years.
