Axolotls are well-known for their incredible healing ability. They have the ability to regenerate limbs, organs, and even sections of their brains.
Axolotls are native to Mexico City's Lake Xochimilco and nearby canals.
In captivity, they can grow to be 18 inches long and live for about 15 years.
They are predators that devour worms, insects, and fish.
Unfortunately, because of habitat loss and pollution, they are now classified as critically endangered in the wild.
