Alphasia is a language disorder that happens due to brain damage, often caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological conditions.

It impairs a person's ability to speak, understand, read and write.

Types of Alphasia:

1. Expressive Alphasia: Difficulty in expressing thoughts or finding words.

2. Receptive Alphasia: Difficulty in understanding spoken or written language.

3. Global Alphasia: Severe impairment in both understanding and expressing language.
