Prophet Remarks Row: BJP MLA T. Raja Singh made remarks on Prophet and its religion in Hyderabad.

T. Raja Singh has been booked under the allegations of hurting the sentiments of specific religion in a video that he uploaded in YouTube. Many Muslim leaders are protesting against the MLA and while protesting they are using the slogan “Sar Tan se Juda” that means the beheading of the head from the body. 

Whatever MLA said to committed in order to give response against the comedian Munawar Faruqui whose comedy show has been suspended again by the central government. Faruqui was also alleged for making some objectionable comment on Lord Ram and Seeta but he was not arrested when he should be.

Hyderabad Police has arrested the MLA from his home after filing the case against him. Just before the arrest he uploaded a video in YouTube in which he said-

“Did I name any gods in the video, or did I even refer to them in any code, like Faruqui vulgarly ridiculed Lord Sri Ram and Seethamma? The ruling TRS is stifling BJP’s voices, I am only fighting for my faith. First dharma, next Politics,” the MLA also added that his video has been removed from the YouTube but he also assured that soon his second part of the video will be released.

He also added “How will the police give protection to a person who redicule Hindu Gods and goddesses? My counter in that video was in the same language as Faruqui’s,” BJP MLA said.

His arrest on the ground of hurting the belief of any religion with his speech is totally invalid and also police should think before arresting the member of the assembly. As per the constitution, Article 19 gives the provision for speech and whatever MLA said for prophet is justified as it has been already written ion their text. 

We all should support to Raja Singh as we have done with Nupur Sharma remarks on prophet after which a fatwa was issued against her. Police should arrest the protesters who are using the slogan as “Sar tan se juda” against the legislature of India.
