Yogi Adityanath, the active Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Currently, the whole country knows him as the CM of Uttar Pradesh, but not all know how he achieved all the success. Let us take a look over his life and his previous works to attain the current position. His real name is, Ajay Mohan Bisht, born in a Kashtriya family on June 5, 1972, in Panchur Village, in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. His father was a Forest Ranger.
He completed his Graduation in Mathematics stream from the ‘Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University’ in Uttarakhand. After completing his education, very soon he left his home in the 1990s to participate in the Ram Temple Movement in Ayodhya. During this period, he came into contact and became the disciple of the priest of “Gorakhnath Math’ Mahant Avaidyanath at Gorakhpur. At that time, Ajay Mohan Bisht has been re-named by the priest as “Yogi Adityanath”. During this phase, he visited his hometown as well and built a school there in 1998.
At the age of 21 years, he told his family about being the disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath. As the Mahant Avaidyanath is the follower of Mahant Digvijay Nath, who led to capture the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 22, 1949. And both mahants were elected to the Parliament on the Hindu Mahasabha Party ticket. Later, he joined BJP and made Yogi as his successor of the Gorakhnath Math in 1994. Due to this, after 4 years Yogi was elected as the member of Lok Sabha.
Many BJP party members didn’t like the involvement of Yogi Adiyanath in the party. Yet, he served as the star campaigner for the party. And became the youngest member of 12th Lok Sabha at the age of 26. He has been elected as the Member of Parliament for consecutive five-time from the same constituency i.e. Gorakhpur. But his rebellious nature and behavior led him to make a separate party ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini’ with Gorakhnath Math, as he feels BJP is not following the Hindu Ideology.
Despite the rebellious behavior and his speeches which causes huge controversies, BJP showed the faith over him at the Assembly Elections. In 2005, he was responsible for converting 1,800 Christians into Hindu form Etah, Uttar Pradesh. And he claimed that he won’t stop until he turns U.P and India into a Hindu State. After, these types of cases, he was still considered by the BJP, and became the prominent campaigner of the party for the Assembly Elections of 2017, in Uttar Pradesh.
As the BJP party won the Assembly Elections, there was huge speculation of Yogi becoming the CM of U.P. and finally, he was sworn in as the Chief Minister on March 19, 2017. Like his previous works, he didn’t bound himself after becoming the C.M. and initially, he started the shutdowns of an illegal slaughterhouse in Uttar Pradesh. He is very religious and Cows are worshipped in Hindu Mythology, so he firstly worked over it. In addition to this, he put a stay over UPPSC results and exams after a number of complaints of massive irregularities. Ordered to form an Anti-Romeo Squads and make the young generation to follow the Indian Culture instead of involving into Western Culture.
He also imposed a ban over gutka, pan-masala, and tobacco in the Government Offices of the State, as well as, made officials pledge over devoting 100 hours in a year for the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’. For the proper control over the development work in the state, he kept 36 Ministries under his direct supervision.
His works are completely dedicated to the development of the State and providing a good job for the young generation as well as enhancing the skills of the unemployed section of the state. It helps them to get a good job or start their own business for their living. And putting forward the state to become a developed and self-dependent state and generate a number of job opportunities. He is also putting forward a step to help the farmers of the state by providing facilities and waving off the loans and connecting all the small towns and villages with the cities.
